My Weekly Diary

(October 7–12)

A Productive Tuesday

October 7, Tuesday

I woke up at 6:10 in the morning. I felt a bit sleepy, but I quickly got ready so I wouldn’t be late for school.

Morning Classes

After School Routine

After school, I went home and ate lunch. Then I did my homework while listening to music. Before sleeping, I played on my phone for a while, scrolling through social media and watching videos until 11 PM. Then, I finally went to bed.

Coding and Challenging Math

October 8, Wednesday

Today started with Informatics class in the computer lab. We learned about coding, and even though it was hard, it was interesting to see how the codes worked.

After that, we had Chemistry. The teacher asked us to do the exercises she sent, so the class was quiet as everyone focused on finishing them.

Next, we had Math, and the topic was pertidaksamaan eksponen. It was challenging, but I managed to understand most of it. The last subject was Economics, and another group continued their presentation from last week. They did a good job, and I learned some new things from their slides.

Key Academic Focus:

Review, Music, and New Projects

The teacher reviewed our blog project about observing students at SMA Negeri 4 Medan. I felt proud because my part was neat and complete.

Music Class

We learned about kres and mol, and the teacher checked our understanding and took grades. The class was quite fun because we also listened to some short melodies.

History Project

I was happy with my daily test score. Our next project is to make a concept map about the origin of Indonesian people and to bring an Indonesian food.

Islamic Studies

We learned about mim mati, and the teacher told us to find a Qur’an verse that contains nun mati.

The KIR Overnight Event Begins

October 10, Friday

The day began with a Math daily test. I was a bit nervous, but once I started, it went pretty well. After that, we had Sociology. Our teacher didn’t come, so we were replaced by another teacher, and we played some fun games together.

When the lessons ended at 12:00, the adzan for Friday prayer was heard, and I went to the mosque with my friends to pray. After prayer, I went home to pack my things for the KIR overnight event. I felt excited because it had been a while since the last one.

When I got back to school, most of my friends were already there. We went to Indomaret to buy snacks for the night. At 4:13 PM, the event officially started. Bang Reqhuel, the KIR chairman, gave a presentation about public speaking. He called several students to practice speaking with random actions, which was really fun to watch. Then, he asked me to make the conclusion of the whole material. After that, our KIR mentor, Mr. Harry Syahputra Gultom, shared some valuable advice.

At night, we performed Maghrib and Isha prayers, listened to stories from the alumni, played around the campfire, and wrote letters for each other. It was a very warm and memorable night. Later, we all went to sleep.

KIR Event: Challenges and Celebration

Early Morning Challenge

At 4:00 AM, the seniors woke us up for a challenge — finding KIR pins hidden around the school. My group's clue was “where to ask for a permit letter.” We found it near the office!

Morning Activities

We prayed Subuh together, did morning exercises, and played games like passing flour and throwing water. Everyone laughed and had a great time.

Grilling and Drama

We grilled corn and some other food together. After showering, we gathered to make a short drama about joining KIR. It was really fun to watch each group perform.

Victory and Rest

My group got 2nd place in the competitions! I was so happy and proud. The event ended around noon. When I got home, I immediately lay down and fell asleep because I was exhausted but also very happy.

A Peaceful Sunday

October 12, Sunday

I woke up feeling fresh after sleeping a lot. I had breakfast with my family, then worked on my homework for a while. After that, I helped by hanging the washed clothes outside to dry.

In the afternoon, around 3 PM, my family and I went out together to look for good food and a place to relax. We walked around, ate some snacks, and enjoyed the evening together.

We got home around 9 PM. I took a shower, prepared my bed, and went straight to sleep. It was a peaceful way to end the week.
